Jessica Leopizzo M.S., LMFT

Welcome and Thank you for visiting my website! I’d like to share a little about myself so you can decide if you’d like to schedule a free 15 minute consult call.

In 2011, three of my cousins were murdered. Their funeral was so big that it was held in a school gym and cafeteria; I realized at that moment how many lives these three humans had impacted. That funeral was the first time I saw my family from a larger systems perspective and knew that in order to create opportunities for healing and change, working as a Marriage and Family Therapist was what I wanted to do.

My experiences with trauma and journey of healing from trauma makes me a compassionate healer for others who have experienced traumas of any type.

I have been working with school aged children and their families for 20 years in the performing arts, education system and Boys and Girls Clubs. During that time I developed a strong ability to connect and communicate with elementary aged children and act as a bridge to caregivers and educators.

I received my Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Minor in Dance from Central Connecticut State University and continued my education with a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Central Connecticut State University. I have worked as a School Based Clinician with multiple elementary schools in the Central Connecticut area. Additionally I have experience working in community based outpatient clinics as an ACT clinician. “The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program offers treatment, rehabilitation, and support services using a person-centered, recovery-based approach to individuals who have been diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness”

I am currently accepting new clients in my Berlin office or via Telehealth and am happy to attend PPT meetings, advocate for your children at school, work with individuals, couples or any combination of family members.
